Bad experience at Sri Petaling Proton Edar

After having Pork noodle at OUG for lunch, Han Ping, Yen Wei and I decided to show our support to our national car by paying a visit to the Proton Edar located at Sri Petaling, near Shell and Mobil petrol station. Inside there were a few family and couple looking for a new car. Three of us were hoping to test drive the new Proton Persona.

However, when the salesman (David) found out that Han Ping is still a student, his attitude changed immediately, saying that he need a guarantor in order for him to test drive and persuade him to put booking fee (RM50) first. He asked us what car do you all drive and where did you all study. We told them we study in IMU and from his eye I can see he was wondering is that "Itu Mana University"? So he ask us " what is that?". We were like wtf!!!??? IMU so close to Sri Petaling also don't know? Our BPharm tuition fees can already buy a new Persona H-Line and a H-Line Savvy already ok!

He lied to us that the CAMPRO in this Persona is like what you found in Honda VTEC and Toyota VVTI. That time I had a very bad impression on him because even the Proton CEO admitted that the real CAMPRO is still in development and will be available later this year or next year. Currently CAMPRO is just a name, no whatsoever technology inside. Since I am not buying this car anyway, but HP is interested, I choose not to shoot on his face for being a liar.

It is spacious inside, the door close with a solid sound and the plastic quality has improve a lot compared to the one inside Gen-2. I don't like the the steering wheel, it is so hard and rough, makes me wonder whether am I grabbing a rough wooden stick or a steering. Ladies will need to apply more hand cream after driving this car.

It will takes the speedometer forever to reach the 240 km/h top speed.

Looks complicated to me...

Hand rest is made of soft material. Hopefully the power window failure problem has been solved forever.

I am unable to bump my head onto the roof of the backseat even when I sit straight, unlike the Gen2.

Haizzz... just got a little bit of good sales then this Proton salesman becomes arrogant. Even when Yen Wei wanna test drive Honda City V-Tec at The Store there a few weeks ago also got no problem. They shouldn't treat a potential customer like that, even if we are not buying this car for now...
